JOB SUMMARY
Serves as the district subject matter expert for digital literacy resources, ensuring accurate implementation, data integrity, and effective utilization of platforms including Boost, Summit K-12, Zearn, and Amira to support instructional outcomes.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Serves as subject matter expert for digital literacy platforms (Boost, Summit K-12, Zearn, Amira)
2. Monitors and ensures accuracy, integrity, and usability of platform data and reporting systems
3. Analyzes usage and performance data to inform instructional and strategic decisions
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED
4. Collaborates with vendors, IT, and academic teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize platform performance
5. Develops resources, guidance, and systems to improve platform fidelity and user experience
6. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree
Continuing education in educational technology, data systems, or literacy instruction preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE
3 to 5 years
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in educational technology, data systems, or instructional support, including experience with digital learning platforms.
SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION
Microsoft Office
Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier)
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
Work Leadership. Regularly provides project management or team leadership to a group of two or more employees but does not have formal supervisory responsibility. Leading and directing is restricted to monitoring work and providing guidance on escalated issues. Most of work time is spent performing many of the same duties they are leading.
WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT
Work is non-standardized and widely varied, involving many complex and significant variables including significant time spent planning, evaluating complex solutions and issues, and negotiating outcomes. Strong analytic ability and inductive thinking are frequently required to devise new approaches to situations where previously accepted solutions have proven inadequate. Position regularly makes recommendations to management on areas of significance to the division. Supervision received typically consists of providing periodic coaching, advice, and feedback.

PROBLEM SOLVING
Decisions are made with greater freedom and discretion, including recommendations that are subject to approval on matters that may affect multiple departments across HISD. Job is frequently expected to recommend new solutions to problems, to improve existing methods/procedures/services and generate new ideas. May also review decisions made by other individuals on more routine matters.

Decisions have moderate impact to the facility/department or division, causing increased satisfaction or dissatisfaction; producing efficiencies or delays; promoting or inhibiting personal intellectual or professional development; and/or contributing to financial gain or expense. Errors may be serious, usually not subject to direct verification or check, causing losses such as improper cost calculations, overpayment or improper utilization of labor, materials, or equipment.
