JOB SUMMARY

This C2-Colleqe Readiness manages efficient and effective operations of the District's College Readiness programs. The role works closely to support teachers and leaders with implementation of TSI preparation, college readiness courses, and initiatives to strengthen TSI/SAT testing success. This
position develops program compliance systems, designs district-wide trainings, and monitors the effectiveness of TSI and college readiness programs as they relate to student outcomes. They work closely with CCMR teammates to ensure the effective use of and response to college readiness data district-wide.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1.        Supports teachers and leaders in delivering high quality and rigorous college readiness programming
2.        Maintain and validate data trackers weekly, analyze trends, and support campus action planning to close gaps; Provide consistent, data-driven updates on progress, trends, and risks to inform next steps and escalation
3.        Design, train facilitators, and facilitate PLCs and district PD sessions focused on college readiness, including TSI, SAT and college readiness courses.
4.        Support curriculum implementation by ensuring alignment to TEKS, and best practices in college readiness; Lead initiatives and events that provide students with supplemental instruction and intervention for TSI, SAT and other college readiness exams.

5.        Partner with campus leaders and teachers to strengthen college readiness course implementation and student outcomes; develop materials to support student and teacher success
6.        Define and support operational needs for testing, and partner with the CCMR unit support team to ensure schools effectively execute

EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree

WORK EXPERIENCE

1-3 years. Previous experience as a teacher, strongly preferred.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

Work Leadership. Regularly provides project management or team leadership to a group of two or more employees but does not have formal supervisory responsibility. Leading and directing is restricted to monitoring work and providing guidance on escalated issues. Most of work time is spent performing many of
the same duties they are leading.

WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT

Work involves the application of moderately complex procedures and tasks that are quite varied. Independent judgment is often required to select and apply the most appropriate of available resources. Ongoing supervision is provided on an "as needed" basis.

BUDGET AUTHORITY

-No budget development activity is required.

Decisions are made on both routine and non-routine matters with some latitude but are still subject to approval. Job is occasionally expected to recommend new solutions to problems and improve existing methods or generate new ideas.

Decisions have minor, small and possibly incremental impact on the department or facility. Errors are usually discovered in succeeding operations where most of the work is verified or checked and is normally confined to a single department or phase of the organizational activities resulting in brief inconvenience.

COMMUNICATION/INTERACTIONS

Collaborate and solve problems - works with others to resolve problems, clarify, or interpret complex
information/policies, and provide initial screening/negotiations without approval authority. Interactions are typically with customers, senior level professional staff, and managers.

CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS

-Leads others in the resolution of highly sensitive and confidential issues on behalf of the department. Acts as a trusted advisor and becomes involved in the customer's decision-making process including presenting alternatives and information and applying persuasion and negotiation skills in the resolution of problems. Monitors customer service standards.

WORKING/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

-Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.
