JOB SUMMARY
Manages the daily operations of the textbook warehouse, including receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing instructional materials purchased through the State Instructional Materials Allotment (IMA) and other funding sources to support district campuses and departments. Implement standardized procedures for inventory management, order fulfillment, and timely distribution of textbooks and educational resources. Ensures proper handling, tracking, and accountability of materials while maintaining compliance with district policies, safety standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Collaborates with district staff, campus personnel, vendors, and Procurement Services to support efficient warehouse operations, IMA compliance, and timely delivery of instructional resources. Monitors inventory levels, conducts audits, and aligns with the district’s instructional programs. Promotes a culture of safety, accountability, and customer service while supporting the instructional and operational needs of all district divisions.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manages the receipt, storage, organization, and distribution of textbooks and instructional materials purchased through the State Instructional Materials Allotment (IMA) and other funding sources, ensuring timely delivery to district campuses and departments.
2. Develops, implements, and maintains standardized warehouse procedures for textbook inventory management and order fulfillment; coordinates shipping and receiving for instructional resources.
3. Monitors textbook and instructional materials inventory levels, conducts audits, and ensures proper tracking, accountability, and compliance with district policies, safety standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.
4. Collaborates with campus staff, district divisions, Procurement Services, and vendors to coordinate warehouse operations, support instructional needs, and ensure materials are delivered accurately and on schedule.
5. Oversees warehouse management systems, maintaining accurate records of all incoming and outgoing instructional materials, including IMA-funded resources, to support transparency, audits, and reporting requirements.
6. Provides training, guidance, and supervision to warehouse staff, promoting safety, accountability, customer service, and efficient workflow across all warehouse operations.

7. Assists in identifying process improvements, cost efficiencies, and operational enhancements to optimize warehouse and distribution activities and support the district’s instructional programs.
8. Ensures compliance with IMA requirements and Texas Education Agency guidelines, including proper documentation, distribution practices, and recordkeeping for all instructional materials.
9. Supports district initiatives, special projects, and cross-functional efforts as assigned to enhance warehouse operations, instructional resource distribution, and overall department efficiency.
10. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
Work Leadership. Regularly provides project management or team leadership to a group of two or more employees but does not have formal supervisory responsibility. Leading and directing is restricted to monitoring work and providing guidance on escalated issues. Most of work time is spent performing many of the same duties they are leading.
