JOB SUMMARY
The Coordinator of Program Compliance is responsible for leading the daily function of ensuring academics programs are in compliance, including with reporting requirements. This will include a range of outputs including frequent and ongoing monitoring reports to end of cycle reporting for close out submission. This role ensures that programs are meeting compliance throughout the year. Programs include but are not limited to State Compensatory Education, Multilingual, MTSS, Early Childhood and GT, College and Career
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lead data reporting initiatives as identified by the Manager of Program Compliance including accessing, transforming, and producing reports for ensuring program compliance.
2. Conducts rigorous analysis of quantitative data (e.g., student achievement) to answer research questions using descriptive statistics; responsibilities include selecting data management; using statistical software for analysis (e.g., SPSS, R, Stata); use of data visualization tools for presentation (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
3. Ensure data sets are complete, accurate, and reporting is timely and actionable for the department staff of the program.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED
4. Works closely with the Federal and State Compliance department staff to verify program data is in compliance with program intent and reporting requirements.
5. Works in collaboration with department Managers and Directors to ensure vision for the work is executed.
6. Provides support to other reporting teams in the district.
7. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Master’s Degree preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE
3+ years of related program compliance and data analysis work
Cross functional experience in K-12 data and reporting, quantitative research methods and methodologies in educational research, proficiency in a variety of statistical software packages (i.e., SPSS, R, Stata), and proficiency in coding languages (i.e., SQL, HTML).
SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION
SAP, Microsoft Office
HISD Connect, HTML, Office Equipment
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, SPSS, Stata, Excel, R, Python and/or MATLA
PowerBI, and Tableau both preferred
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
Does not supervise staff.
WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT
Work is substantially complex, varied and regularly requires the selection and application of technical and detailed guidelines. Independent judgment is required to identify, select, and apply the most appropriate methods as well as interpret precedent. Position regularly makes recommendations to management on areas of significance to the department. Supervision received typically consists of providing direction on the more complex projects and new job duties and priorities.
