JOB SUMMARY

Provides curriculum support for the integration of technology into educational initiatives at the campus level. Oversees technology planning, training, and hardware and software support.  Researches educational and technological trends and disseminates new knowledge to the campus.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluates district and campus goals for student achievement and researches and implements appropriate technology solutions. Evaluates campus technology strengths, resources and needs and works with campus and district committees to develop effective technology planning.
  • Coordinates, facilitates, models, and implements on-going campus technology and curriculum integration training.
  • Researches and disseminates technology and curriculum integration information to the campus (i.e. educational initiatives, acceptable use policy, equipment standards, life cycles copyright issues, licensing, scheduling, and networking policies).
  • Serves as technology integration liaison between the principal, campus faculty and staff, and central/area district administration.
  • Provides campus support for the effective use of technology equipment, assuring that district standards are met, and that technology life cycles are managed.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory or direct people management responsibilities. May provide occasional work guidance, technical advice and training to staff.

WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT

Work involves the application of moderately complex procedures and tasks that are quite varied. Independent judgment is often required to select and apply the most appropriate of available resources. Ongoing supervision is provided on an "as needed" basis.

Decisions are made on both routine and non-routine matters with some latitude, but are still subject to approval. Job is occasionally expected to recommend new solutions to problems and improve existing methods or generate new ideas.

Errors are usually discovered in succeeding operations where most of the work is verified or checked and is normally confined to a single department or phase of the organizational activities resulting in brief inconvenience.

Takes routine or required customer actions to meet customer needs. Responds promptly and accurately to customer complaints, inquiries and requests for information and coordinates appropriate follow-up. May handle escalated issues passed on from coworkers or subordinates.

Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.
