JOB SUMMARY
Lead and manage the implementation, enrollment systems, daily operations, instructional quality, and compliance of the HISD virtual Launchpad program. Serve as the operational and CTE administrator for the virtual school, ensuring alignment with district goals, TEA requirements, ADA compliance, and student success outcomes. Oversee hybrid CTE pathways in partnership with Barbara Jordan Career Center and collaborate closely with the Assistant Principal to support strategic initiatives, program growth, and continuous improvement efforts.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Oversee daily operations of the virtual Launchpad.
2. Manage student enrollment processes, application review, lottery coordination (if applicable), and onboarding systems.
3. Serve as liaison between campuses, PEIMS, counseling, scheduling, transportation (testing days), and district departments.
4. Monitor student scheduling, course assignments, and roster accuracy.
5. Ensure alignment between enrollment targets and program capacity.
6. Coordinate transitions between virtual and on-campus placements when needed.
7. Serve as CTE administrator for virtual Launchpad students.
8. Oversee implementation of hybrid CTE pathways in partnership with Barbara Jordan Career Center.
9. Coordinate CTE enrollment, scheduling, attendance monitoring, and certification tracking.
10. Ensure compliance with TEA CTE reporting, IBC tracking, and program of study requirements.

11. Support teachers with curriculum implementation and virtual instructional best practices.
12. Conduct instructional monitoring, walkthroughs, coaching, and feedback cycles.
13. Collaborate with Academic, Compliance, and Performance Management teams.
14. Support STAAR/EOC readiness planning and instructional alignment.
15. Assist in developing systems for virtual engagement and instructional quality assurance.
16. Monitor attendance, engagement, credit attainment, and graduation progress.
17 Coordinate student intervention systems and support structures.
18 Collaborate with counseling and graduation teams to ensure students remain on track.
19 Analyze performance, attendance, and engagement data to guide decision-making.
20 Support the Assistant Principal with strategic projects to grow and strengthen the school.
21 Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree Preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE
The role requires prior experience in both classroom teaching and school leadership.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
Level 3-Manages. Accomplishes the majority of work objectives through the management of direct reports. Provides day-to-day directions to staff; may become directly involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems. Responsible for assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring application of policies and procedures. Receives assignments in the form of objectives, with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Provides input to hiring, performance and budget.

-Regularly assesses and diffuses complex and escalate customer issues. Takes personal responsibility and accountability for solving systemic customer service problems. Regularly explores alternative and creative solutions to meeting the needs of the customer within HISD's policies and guidelines.
