JOB SUMMARY

This position leads the implementation of college readiness strategy by managing a team of coordinators/curriculum designers and supporting campus leadership to execute high-quality college readiness assessments and programs. This role works closely with principals, counselors, and central teams to ensure strong program design, scheduling, and student outcomes: they work closely with external college readiness course providers and assessment providers).. Relevant activities include overseeing college readiness testing and preparation, driving student success on TSIA and other college readiness exams. Supporting strong instruction, delivering professional development, and developing their team to meet district CCMR goals.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1.        Lead the strategic implementation of college readiness assessment and programming
across all sites, ensuring alignment to high-wage, high-demand pathways and district priorities
2.        Manage and develop college readiness team through clear goals, progress
monitoring and coaching cycles
3.        Partner with campus leadership (principals, APs, counselors) and college readiness partners to ensure strong student achievement
4.        Ensure high-quality preparation and assessment for all college readiness assessments

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED

5.        Partner strategically with their team and campus leaders and teachers to strengthen preparation for college readiness assessments, track achievement cross college and career readiness indicators.
6.        Lead professional development planning and execution for coordinators and college readiness staff aligned to CCMR and instructional priorities
7.        Other duties as assigned. 

EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree

WORK EXPERIENCE

3 to 5 years
Previous experience as a teacher and/or administrator, particularly in CTE,strongly preferred.

SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION

Microsoft Office
Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier)

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages. Accomplishes the majority of work objectives through the management of direct reports. Provides day-to-day directions to staff; may become directly involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems. Responsible for assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring application of policies and procedures. Receives assignments in the form of objectives, with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Provides input to hiring, performance and budget.

WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT

Work is substantially complex, varied and regularly requires the selection and application of technical and detailed guidelines. Independent judgment is required to identify, select, and apply the most appropriate methods as well as interpret precedent. Position regularly makes recommendations to management on areas of significance to the department. Supervision received typically consists of providing directions on the more complex projects and new job duties and priorities.

BUDGET AUTHORITY

No budget development activity is required. 

PROBLEM SOLVING

Decisions are made on both routine and non-routine matters with some latitude but are still subject to approval. Job is occasionally expected to recommend new solutions to problems and improve existing methods or generate new ideas.

IMPACT OF DECISIONS

Decisions have minor, small and possibly incremental impact on the department or facility. Errors are usually discovered in succeeding operations where most of the work is verified or checked and is normally confined to a single department or phase of the organizational activities resulting in brief inconvenience.

COMMUNICATION/INTERACTIONS

Collaborate and solve problems - work with others to resolve problems, clarify, or interpret complex information/policies, and provide initial screening/negotiations without approval authority. Interactions are typically with customers, senior level professional staff, and managers.

CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS

Leads others in the resolution of highly sensitive and confidential issues on behalf of the department. Acts as a trusted advisor and becomes involved in the customer's decision-making process including presenting alternatives and information and applying persuasion and negotiation skills in the resolution of problems. Monitors customer service standards.

WORKING/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.
