JOB SUMMARY

The Cross-Functional Team Member, Organizational Impact & Continuous Improvement plays a critical role in advancing district priorities through strategic planning, performance monitoring, and cross-departmental collaboration. This role supports district-wide improvement efforts by contributing to the design and execution of data analyses, facilitating accountability processes, and helping operationalize the District Action Plan. Team members support Cabinet-level stepbacks, monitor progress toward key metrics, and support change management initiatives. Additionally, this position collaborates on program evaluation efforts and provides implementation support to departments, ensuring alignment and measurable impact across initiatives.
 

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Contribute problem-solving skills and analytical abilities to help address challenges and obstacles that may arise during projects, actively participating in finding effective solutions. 
2.    Support the monitoring and oversight of the District Action Plan, ensuring progress tracking, metric updates, and alignment with organizational goals.
3.    Facilitate and support Cabinet Stepback sessions by preparing materials, analyzing progress, surfacing key insights, and documenting outcomes to inform executive leadership decision-making.
4.    Collaborate with internal and external partners to define and document district priority metrics, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and strategic alignment across departments.
5.    Collaborate effectively with team members from various functional areas, bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise to solve complex problems and drive project success. 
6.    Provide coordination and accountability support to departments to ensure that programs, initiatives, and services align with district priorities and performance expectations.
7.    Support change management and implementation planning for district-wide initiatives, helping teams anticipate barriers, plan transitions, and sustain improvements.
8.    Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support program evaluation, including planning, coordination, execution, and dissemination of findings to inform continuous improvement.
9.    Design and execute the analysis of large, complex data sets to produce actionable insights that inform strategic decisions, policy formation, and program effectiveness.
10.    Work collaboratively across functional teams to promote organizational learning, streamline processes, and share best practices that enhance service delivery and student outcomes.

11.    Identify and recommend opportunities for system-level improvement by analyzing gaps in performance, surfacing root causes, and proposing targeted interventions.
12.    Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by modeling data-informed decision-making, promoting cross-functional collaboration, and supporting district-wide capacity-building efforts.
13.    Execute assigned tasks and deliverables within established timelines, ensuring quality and accuracy in work. 
14.    Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency enhancements, and innovation within the cross-functional team, contributing to ongoing improvement initiatives. 
15.    Embrace change and adapt to evolving project requirements, adjusting priorities and approaches as needed to ensure successful project outcomes. 
16.    Continuously expand knowledge and understanding of other functional areas within the organization, fostering cross-functional learning and collaboration. 
17.    Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
 

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (depending on the specific requirements of the cross-functional team) 
 

WORK EXPERIENCE

4 years experience in data analysis, data governance, and project management in a K-12 educational setting, or similar organization. 
 

SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION

Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse functional backgrounds. 
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling clear and concise information sharing. 
Strong problem-solving abilities, with a logical and analytical mindset to address complex challenges. 
Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced and changing work environment. 
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within deadlines. 
Proficiency in relevant software and tools used by the cross-functional team.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

Work Leadership. Regularly provides project management or team leadership to a group of two or more employees but does not have formal supervisory responsibility. Leading and directing typically involves monitoring work and providing guidance on escalated issues. Most of work time is spent performing many of the same duties they are leading. 
 

WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT

Work involves the application of moderately complex procedures and tasks that are quite varied. Independent judgment is often required to select and apply the most appropriate of available resources. Ongoing supervision is provided on an "as needed" basis. 
 

BUDGET AUTHORITY

No budget development activity is required. 
 

PROBLEM SOLVING

Decisions are made on both routine and non-routine matters with some latitude but are still subject to approval. Job is occasionally expected to recommend new solutions to problems and improve existing methods or generate new ideas.

Decisions have minor, small and possibly incremental impact on the department or facility. Errors are usually discovered in succeeding operations where most of the work is verified or checked and is normally confined to a single department or phase of the organizational activities resulting in brief inconvenience.

Collaborate and solve problems - works with others to resolve problems, clarify or interpret complex information/policies, and provide initial screening/negotiations without approval authority. Interactions are typically with customers, senior level professional staff, and managers.

Takes routine or required customer actions to meet customer needs. Responds promptly and accurately to customer complaints, inquiries and requests for information and coordinates appropriate follow-up. May handle escalated issues passed on from coworkers or subordinates. 
 

WORKING/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements. 
Ability to carry and/or lift less than 15 pounds.
