JOB SUMMARY
Conducts equipment or materials inventories and compiles records to track the movement of physical assets and the associated costs. Updates information on a computer to maintain inventory records. Assesses stock supply and reorder status. Prepares and verifies requisition of additional stock items, using the appropriate forms.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Records and maintains control of all inventory items purchased and produced to ensure accurate tracking and cost of physical assets.
2. Troubleshoots quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and inspection personnel.
3. Uses various computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, e-mail and database software to prepare and maintain files and reports on inventory balances, prices, and shortages.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED
4. May prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory and provides reports to management periodically.
5. Performs a variety of clerical duties involved in maintaining inventory records to ensure accurate records of stock on hand and adequate stock levels in accordance with established guidelines.
7. Other duties as assigned.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory or direct people management responsibilities. May provide occasional work guidance, technical advice and training to staff.

Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements. Ability to carry and/or lift 45 pounds or more.
